Cancún is Open for you

Little by little, the country has resumed activities according to the “new normal”. This has been done in a gradual, responsible, and organized manner based on epidemiological traffic light guidelines.

The state of Quintana Roo is divided into two regions, north and south. Currently the northern region, which includes Cancún, Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Cozumel, is in the orange phase of the traffic light, which means that they are open to national and international visitors.

In this phase of the traffic light, and following health protocols, restaurants, historical sites, theme parks, golf courses, shopping centers and other tourism services are open.

In the southern region of the state, which includes the municipalities of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, José María Morelos, Bacalar and Othón P. Blanco, is in the red phase of the traffic light.

It is important to mention that the beaches are only open to visitors who are staying in a hotel. This is a temporary measure to contain the spread of coronavirus.
